With a wizardly theme that cast a spell on everyone, it was a weekend to remember. We’re proud to say that with the support of 731 attendees, we raised $20,000 for Second Chance Wildlife, a 501(c)3 non-profit wildlife rehabilitation center in Virginia.
Here’s what they had to say:
To all my Furry friends:
Seven days and I am still pinching myself to make sure that this is real. The tears still cloud my eyes as I recall the events of last week. Laughing and sharing time with you was an amazing time in itself! In a world where people are too often divided, the message of FursonaCon is one of acceptance. I admire and appreciate you all, you have brought tears to my eyes and love to my heart of the past 6 years. Your willingness to accept anybody as an individual and welcome them with open arms, is truly an inspirational beacon of hope. The kindness and generosity I’ve withnessed during the convention will go a long way when it comes to helping save and rehab many injured and orphaned animals. From the bottom of my heart I would personally like to thank every one of you, you truly represent the better part of humanity! Please never stop making the world a better place with your presence and never stop caring about the little critters that you continue to save with your generous hearts!
You all are my extended family and I love each and everyone of you from the deapth of my heart. Second Chance Wildlife will always consider knowing you and loving you a very special priviledge.
Kisses and furry hugs,
Connie, Lawrence, and all the rehabbers with Second Chance Wildlife.
