And 2026’s theme will be “On The FursonaCon Express“, a dapper 1900’s train ride where nothing goes wrong and everyone has a great time.
The event schedule includes main events, fursuit competitions, and other engaging activities designed to bring attendees together.
A Safe and Respectful Environment
FursonaCon emphasizes maintaining a safe and respectful environment for all attendees. The convention has a comprehensive Code of Conduct that outlines rules to ensure everyone’s comfort and safety.
This includes guidelines on behavior, dress code, and interactions with staff and other attendees. By focusing on these principles, FursonaCon strives to provide a memorable experience for both newcomers and seasoned convention-goers alike.
A Place to Connect
Whether you’re interested in art, fursuits, or simply meeting like-minded individuals, FursonaCon offers a unique opportunity to connect with others in a fun and inclusive setting.
Rhino Riders Petition for Taller Doorways
Members of the Newport News Rhinocerine Society have submitted a polite but firm petition to station officials this week, requesting that future passenger cars consider slightly taller doorways.
According to the group, several of their members have reported the inconvenience of horns becoming momentarily “snagged” or “misjudged” while boarding certain railcars throughout the region.
While no injuries have been reported, the group argues that modern rail travel should accommodate travelers of all builds and horn arrangements.
Engineers of the newly unveiled FursonaCon Express have reportedly assured the group that the train’s entryways were designed with “generous proportions,” a claim many local rhinos say they are eager to test for themselves at the grand departure.
